Postico is deliberately minimal. TuskDB gives you the power features it leaves out: a pgvector workflow, a visual EXPLAIN with a verdict, an incremental ERD, an optional AI assistant and MCP server, and an activity panel that resolves lock chains and kills runaway queries. At $39, it's also less than Postico's $69 personal license.
Postico's restraint is its whole appeal, and for some people that's exactly right. It's mature, it's been refined for years, and if you want the least-cluttered possible Postgres client and none of the heavier features, that focus is a feature. TuskDB is denser by design.
Every feature, no account. See if native, Postgres-only, and pgvector-first fits how you work.
